Hail the great gods of human endeavour!
Upon whose soul we dedicate our lives.
Advancing with bristling fervour.
The future, burning bright as it arrives.
Cyclical, ought we not commemorate history?
Gaze upon our ancestors past,
And the beauty of their future visionary,
Defining what today still lasts?
For history repeats itself, are we not taught?
Therefore, today is a reflection of yesterday.
An inverted mirror image caught,
Remembered in what was, is and shall be today?
Hail the great gods of human endeavour!
Antecedent architects carving the future.
Foundations we cannot sever,
Scars of our past – the future a suture.
