Dare you not hear the beat of your heart?
The silent thrum,
The quiet hum,
As constant as memories, and just as forgotten?
Loud as fear,
Heavy as woe,
Deafening to afflictions tearing it apart?
Dare you not feel the beat of your heart,
The timid quiver
The faint whisper
As constant as regrets, and just as forgotten?
Brittle as grief,
Fragile as despair,
Indelicately manipulated till our souls depart.
Can you hear the silence?
and Remember to forget
Can you feel the imperceptible?
but forget to Remember.
Dare you not live?
Hello! I’ve been reading your posts and I’d like to let you know that you inspired me to write better blogs, I’ve been gone for two months, contemplating, I guess I’ve been feeling sad and miserable, so I haven’t been writing anything. But I’m trying. I hope you can follow my Blogs, let me know what you think. I look forward to reading more of your posts! Ciao!
Hey. I’m glad that I inspired you to write better blogs. It’s a process. It’s work. But it’s worth it. Enjoy it to the fullest!
I know. Thank you so much for the reply.
Sounds like something I would be thinking (but not be able to express–beautifully–like you did here)when trying to fall asleep at night. Powerful and lovely poem.
Thank you! It’s been a trying month and am thankful I can express myself in someway. Really appreciate your kind words.
